MSP REPORTING
MSP client reporting template
A useful MSP client report should not be a ticket dump. It should explain what happened, why it matters, what risks remain, and what the client should approve next.
Recommended report structure
- Executive summary: current status, wins, risks, and decisions needed.
- Service activity: meaningful ticket trends, project updates, and recurring issues.
- Security posture: MFA, endpoint, backup, email, vulnerability, and policy gaps.
- Business impact: translate technical findings into continuity, compliance, and productivity risk.
- Roadmap: next 30, 60, and 90 day recommendations.
- Decision section: what the client should approve, defer, or discuss.
